Bio: Viran was the product of a line of Elven Weaponsmiths living in Troll country. It's a mishmash of cultures that alters your perspective. Being an Elf itself lends a certain perspective to the Art of Weaponsmithing, a certain appreciation for the natural patterns in the metal. It only made sense to grow into Shamanism as well, as those patterns are seen everywhere in nature, if you care to look. The magic that lets you reform ore into a sword that can kill, is essentially the same as that which lets you reform the feather, bone and sinew of a falcon into a bauble that allows you to fly.

So, if anyone is curious, the campaign is first edition, which is why we used the first edition (MOM) circle progression for Shaman, but the spell choice seemed like it lacked some focus when it was conceived. I had access to 3rd Edition material, and convinced the gamemaster that it was a better fit.
