Wow, I need to fill in 18 months of gaps.
We ventured through Thanaq's arms - fought a Night Twist, and recovered the 'Breath of Freedom'. A cadaver man working for Twice-Born helped us down, and then tried to run off with it while we were fighting. Luckily our windling, Drostan was able to grab it, and we were able to make our way out. While we were resting back in Haven though, the cadaver-men attacked and ended up dwarf-napping Morgue and rock-napping Slate. They were both tortured, but Morgue got the worst, losing his tongue and an eye.
Viran and Arumvandar were able to track them down, and eventually defeat them with Twice-born's help. It turned out that her Lieutenant, Essenhale had been working for a horror without her knowledge. We find out more about the horror as Essenhale is tortured. The Corruptor of Thoughts, who was thought killed by Redliff, the king of Andolyn is still alive and well, and is searching for these pieces to get in.
After some healing and whatnot, we head to Harvar and talk to Parnis' uncle Jacko. Here we find that the family was originally from Andolyn, verifying what we know so far. Then, we continue on through Vestermon to the Kaer Finor. We find a cursed troll sword that was created to kill the Corruptor of Thoughts, and fight a couple of horror constructs. Thankfully the sword comes with an instruction manual and we are able to determine that the sword is named 'Revenge'. We rest up a bit and head to Wake, on the edge of the Death Sea, near the Dead Man's Gullet. We managed to find an Airship in Travar that would transport us to wake, and the Captain, Raykia was befriended.
The trip to Wake left the ship heavily damaged after an encounter with Fire Wraiths and Fire Eagles. Eventually we work our way into the Kaer. We find the third item, the Blood of The Sun, but it turns out to be very challenging to retrieve. Along the way we killed a named horror construct "Hahn the Hunter", and later a horror named Gulan. In the first encounter with Gulan, Morgue is captured and loses his limbs. The second encounter we employ a number of red-shirts from Wake, and are triumphant. Once this is accomplished, retrieving the Blood of the Sun becomes trivial. It's all very legendary.
Eventually we make our way back to Throal, and update Falcos. He advises us to lay low for a while, so we take a trip to Otusk, the Troll Moot where the Bright Blades found the Water that Bleeds. We spend a day or so talking with the locals, and are able to determine that the secondary ability of the Water that Bleeds is an empathic connection with the occupants of Andolyn. It is a bit of a let down that this is all we find, but at least it's something.
On our way back, my experiments with the Troll sword confirm my suspicions that it is cursed. While examining it one night, I realize that the Corruptor of Thoughts is right there, and I prepare for battle. Thankfully, my typical combat pattern is to apply my Air Armor, drop an Icy Surface down, and then start swinging. The delay before attacking is enough that my companions are able to subdue me before I can hurt anyone. The sword had created the illusion of the Corruptor in place of my friends. We return to Throal, where we've left the other items, and we are informed that the second rank of the Blood of the Sun is that it will lead you to Andolyn, by growing brighter the closer you get.
Garlen visits us in our dreams. She informs us that the Corruptor is hunting us with his minions, and that we should head to Anarkon's Hope, where Anarkon has a spell that will banish the Corruptor, she says the Corruptor has one of the items, which we believe to be the Water that Bleeds. Since it controls the Bright Blades, this makes sense. If we bring the items, Anarkon can use the connection between them to target the Corruptor that is thread-bound to the Water. Morgue is feeling very distrustful of Garlen, and suspects that perhaps Garlen is not who she claims to be and that this is a trap.
That brings us to last night. Last night was spectacular, as in, quite the spectacle.
It started out with us trying to decide on a path forward. Morgue tried to do some research into the tattoo on his forehead that was given to him by Garlen, but unfortunately finds nothing. In the end, we decided we were going to travel to Anarchon's Hope, with one of three artefacts we'd collected with the vain hope that what we assumed was a trap might actually help us banish a horror that had been hunting us for the past several months. Morgue, decided he should share our plan with Falcos, and embellish with a few fun facts that we'd been keeping from him. Botching some charisma rolls left us in a bad light, and Falcos fully leaped off the deep end. We were ordered to retrieve the third item from Arumvandar who had the good sense to stay out of Throal and away from Falcos at the best of times. Since Falcos wasn't trusting us anymore, he sent a few guys along incognito to make sure everything went down smoothly. Arumvandar spotted them, panicked, and ran when we went to meet him. At this point, Falcos ran off the deep end again. He took us into custody and held us while Arumvandar sprinted out of town.
At this point, I'd like to mention how incredibly fortunate it was that on Viran's last circle increase I'd picked up the talent Empathic Sense, and actually spent some time to link it to both Morgue and Arumvandar. Falcos was angry that he'd lost that piece. Insanely furious. Maybe just insane. Thankfully I mentioned that I could help track him down, and off I went on the airship to help track him. Meanwhile, Morgue and Slate were tortured for information. They didn't know anything, and the torture only confirmed that, and they were mostly healed after that, but still, they'll have scars.
So yeah, our relationship with Falcos has essentially been burned to the ground. I'm not sure where the current quest to free Arrandale(sp?) is going, or what to expect from Garlen or the Horror anymore, but at least we know that guy in Iopos, so maybe we can find a place there to start fresh.

Falcos = Corrupter of Thoughts.
He needs to be eliminated.
I don't think that's actually true, however much you want it to be.
