Blast from the past

So we start out with Viran in the air ship with the Throalic forces, chasing down Arumvandar. We drop off some men behind and ahead of him, trying to cut him off, when something odd happens. We witness Arumvandar do something that very nearly looks like an attempted suicide, before he snaps out of it and takes off running, easily twice as fast as I've ever seen him go before.  The ship is only just able to keep pace with him. After a few minutes of this, I attempt my empathic sense again, and am able to determine that we're not actually following him. No one's asking me though, so I just keep my mouth shut.

After an hour or so, the pursuit is called off and we head back to Throal. Slate and Morgue get healed, and then we get released. Someone named Enore is involved but we don't ask any questions. We eventually head back to the King's Challenge for some post-torture talk and meet up with our windling, Drostan. Drostan figured we should try and get our artefacts back from Falcos. He eventually gets the Breath of Freedom back, and discovers that someone is leaning on Falcos, and that he really despises us. The rest of us are relaxing when Nagle, our friend from Anarchon's Hope shows up asking for help.  We put off the discussion until morning, as it's been a long day and a good night's sleep was warranted.

In the morning we talk and decide we should try and find Arumvandar, which we know is pretty much in the same direction as Anarchon's Hope anyway, and now that we have another thread pulling us in that direction, we should just trust the fates and head that way. Before we get out too far, Nagle asks us if we still carry the carvings he gave us. I pick mine up from the Bank in Throal and we head out.

Arumvandar is surprisingly easy to find at the first little town we stop at.  We continue towards Anarchon's Hope, and after a day or two come across the smouldering remains of a wagon on the road. We notice some footprints belonging to a child and a woman heading off and decide to investigate.

With Drostan scouting ahead, we manage to track them down pretty quickly. Viran uses his falcon form to get close and listen in. We more or less confirm that they're the bad guys, and ambush them once it's dark. It went like clockwork, and I'm pretty sure no-one on our side was even injured.
